New Bridge to Ease Traffic and Connect Bur Dubai with Dubai Islands

Dubai’s RTA is building a major new bridge over Dubai Creek as part of the Al Shindagha Corridor project, enhancing connectivity and supporting rapid urban growth. Spanning 1,425 meters with four lanes in all directions, it can handle up to 16,000 vehicles per hour and includes pedestrian paths, wheel rails, and connecting surface streets. The project is expected to benefit 1 million people and reduce travel time from 104 to 16 minutes, saving Dh45 billion over 20 years. The bridge is part of a Dh6 billion agreement with Dubai Holding to upgrade infrastructure across 15 communities. Key upgrades include traffic flow improvements in JVC, Dubai Production City, Business Bay, Palm Jumeirah, and International City Phase 3.
